One of the hottest versions of the Ferrari 458 Italia, if not the hottest, the 458 Speciale, is being placed into the spotlights once again, thanks to a video find, which is showing it in action on the Franciacorta International Circuit, where it has been unleashed. The result of the video may get you all soften up if you’re a Ferrari fan, especially with the help of the impressive soundtrack.
Ferrari has officially unveiled the 458 Speciale during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The supercar has a dry weight of 1,290 kg, 90 less than the standard 458, which is equal to 2.13 kg/cv. Power has been increased from the previous output to 597 HP (445 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. This is still being provided by the same 4.5 liter V8 engine. The 458 Speciale has the SSC (Slip Angle Control System) to optimize the torque and distribute it between the two rear wheels. The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint takes less than 3 seconds and from 0 to 125 mph the acceleration is made in 9.1 seconds.
