Lamborghini has released a new video with the Gallardo Squadra Corse, in which the model is being shown in action, on the track.
Lamborghini’s newest creation is known as the Gallardo Squadra Corse. The model in question has been officially presented to the public just a few weeks ago, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and it’s now entering our news once again, thanks to a video, which is showing it in action, on the track. The footage posted below is also providing some great exhaust sound, so fans of the Italian supercar will be glad to scroll down and hit the “play” button.
The Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse has a prominent rear wing, carbon ceramic brakes, quick release engine cover, lightweight racing seats, Alcantara wrapped dashboard and some other tweaks. The model in question is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo and its weight has been dropped by 70 kg (154 lbs), to a total of 1,340 kg (2,954 lbs). The V10 engine powering it is hood for 570 HP (419 kW). The unit is mated to a 6-speed e-gear transmission, which is sending power to the all-wheel drive. The configuration is allowing the Gallardo Squadra Corse to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
