McLaren has released a video with the impressive P1 hybrid supercar tackling the Nurburgring in less than 7 minutes.
The British based automaker McLaren has managed to place the P1 into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a video, which is showing the hybrid supercar going on a fast lap around the Nurburgring but even if we can see the model going fast around the German track, we can’t be sure that it managed to beat Porsche 918 Spyder’s time of 6 minutes and 57 seconds because the company didn’t release an exact time. All we have is the “less than 7 minutes” figures.
The reality may be that the carmaker didn’t manage to beat the Ring time of one of its main rivals, the Porsche 918 Spyder, and chances are that the official figure will be released once every P1 will be produced, sold and delivered. The McLaren P1 has been officially unveiled back in March, during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and it’s rivaling the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder. Power is provided by an electric motor and a twin-turbo 3.8L V8 unit, producing a total of 916 HP (674 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft).
