Mercedes-Benz has released a new video with the recently unveiled AMG GT, where the sports car is being shown in action on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is being placed into the spotlights once more, this time with the help of a new video. The clip posted below is showing the newest sports car in the company’s lineup in action on the Bonneville Salt Flats. The AMG GT has been officially unveiled just last week and this will be replacing the SLS AMG, despite being smaller, cheaper and less powerful.
Power to the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is being provided by a new 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo engine, rated at 462 HP (339 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, in the standard version, while in the AMG GT S, the same unit is capable of producing no less than 510 HP (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. This is enough to allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and to reach a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph). The same unit will also be used on the new C63 AMG, E63 AMG, S63 AMG, GLK63 AMG and also on the G-Class.
