Mercedes-Benz has recently released a video in which the SLS AMG Black Series is being shown lapping the Nurburgring Nordschleife in just 7 minutes and 25.67 seconds.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series may have been officially introduced a year ago, but the German based automaker has recently released the footage of the supercar lapping the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The time needed for the SLS AMG Black Series to complete a lap on the famous track is 7:25.26, which means that it’s faster than models like the McLaren MP4-12C or the Ferrari 458 Italia, but it’s still slower than the Ferrari Enzo.
Power to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is being provided by a 6.2 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 622 HP (464 kW) and it has a peak torque of 634 Nm (468 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual clutch transmission. The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint in the 1,550 kg (3,417 lb) supercar takes just 3.5 seconds and top speed stands at 196 mph (315 km/h). The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is also benefiting from the AMG Adaptive Performance Suspension or the locking rear differential.
