Volvo has released a new video with the new generation of the XC90 in which the model in question is being crash tested.
The 2015 Volvo XC90 is believed to be one of the safest vehicles ever produced but before the model in question will end up with the Euro NCAP or with the IIHS, the Swedish based automaker has decided to take a things into its own hands and crash test it. The front offset crash was performed at 64 km/h (40 mph) and the cabin seems to be untouched, the side impact crash was done at 55 km/h (35 mph) and the roll-over crash at 48 km/h (30 mph).
As you probably already know by now, the new generation of the Volvo XC90 has been officially unveiled, for the very first time, just a day ago. The model in question is coming with an evolutionary design, with those similar taillights, with a minimalistic interior and with a new engine lineup. Speaking of engines, you should know that the D4 and D5 turbo diesels are available, with their 190 and 225 HP, along with the 254 HP and 320 HP T5 and T6 petrol burners. There is also a 400 HP T8 plug-in hybrid available.
