Kia’s newest creation is named the Niro Concept and it’s a B-segment crossover which will eventually make its way onto the market, as a rival for the Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka, Peugeot 2008, Renault Captur, Chevrolet Trax or Ford EcoSport. The model in question is 4,185 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,558 mm tall, riding on a 2,590 mm wheelbase and sitting on 20-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 225/40 tires. The Kia Niro Concept has a 2+2 seating layout but the production variant is believed to get 5 seats.
The cabin of the Kia Niro Concept has received aluminum inserts, adjustable pedal box, flat bottomed steering wheel wrapped in leather, touch sensitive panels for the infotainment and computer functions, super vision digital instrument binnacle, Bluetooth, sat-nav and much more. The Kia Niro Concept is being powered by a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, which is producing a total output of 160 HP (118 kW). These are being sent to the front wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, while a 45 HP (33 kW) electric motor is sending power to the rear-wheel drive.
