[VIDEO] See the Nissan 370Z Nismo race a base jumper
Nissan has released a new promotional video for one of its hottest models, the 370Z Nismo, where the sports car is being shown racing against a base jumper.
The Nissan 370Z Nismo is the star of a brand new video released by the Japanese based automaker and in the footage posted below, we can see the sports car race a famous base jumper, named David Barlia, who used a wingsuit and came within six meters of rocks while. Barlia traveled at speeds up to 210 km/h (130 mph). The car was driven by Peter Pyzera. The clip was shot at the Susten Pass in Switzerland.
“That was absolutely amazing, I could see Dave up above me and I just had to concentrate and get in the zone to beat him down. Afterwards we looked at the data we gathered from wearing the biometric harnesses, which monitor my biometric data, and I could see when I was totally focused. While this is fun, it is serious business – it not only improves my performance but is invaluable in helping me prepare for my next race”, said Pyzera.
The Nissan 370Z Nismo is powered by a 3.7 liter V6 engine, which is good for 350 HP (261 kW) and 374 Nm of torque (276 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The sports car is also getting some red accents, a front chin spoiler, new side skirts, different rear bumper, massive spoiler, sport-tuned suspension, Nismo brakes and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels.
