Not one but two units of the impressive hypercar, the McLaren P1, have been seen on a track event, in Assen.
The McLaren P1 is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new video, which is showing two units of the impressive vehicle in action on the track. The clip posted below has been shot at a track even in Assen and despite the supercar being unveiled more than a year ago, it managed to attract quite a lot of curious eyes and a fair number of camera lenses pointed to it.
McLaren has officially unveiled the P1 during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. It is being produced in 375 units and assembled in Woking, Surrey, England, in a two-door coupe body style, with a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The supercar is powered by an updated version of the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, backed up by an electric motor. The total output produced by the assembly stands at 890 HP and 978 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes just 2.8 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).
