Two brand new Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingrays have recently went head to head in a quarter mile race at a drag strip.
The new generation of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray is one popular ride to own in the United States, and not only, as there is an almost 6-month waiting list for buying this sports car. And as more and more people decide to add the new Corvette C7 Stingray to their garages, drag races will become inevitable. Thankfully, the clip posted below is showing two such vehicles going head to head in a controlled environment, the Royal Purple Raceway. The while vehicle is equipped with the Z51 performance package while the yellow one doesn’t have package fitted to it.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been officially presented to the public back in January, during the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit and it has also been brought to the Old Continent, in both forms, Coupe and Roadster. The model is powered by a 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 460 HP and it has a peak torque of 465 lb-ft. Prices for the new Corvette Stingray have been set at 50,000 USD over-seas.
