YouTube user Shmee150 has picked up his brand new ride, a McLaren 650S Spider, finished in a Mantis Green.
Usually when trading in our old cars, we don’t get to buy a supercar instead, but when your old ride is already a supercar, trading it for an even newer one is not that difficult. Famous YouTube user Shmee150 used to have a McLaren MP4-12C so when the 650S Spider came out, he couldn’t resist it, so trading his old ride for a new one was just a matter of time. The model chosen is finished in a Mantis Green and, despite not seeing it on the road every day in that shade, it is still interesting.
Being a famous YouTube user known for his supercar uploads, picking up his brand new ride had to be documented so the clip posted below is doing just that. Besides the Mantis Green paint, the British supercar also has carbon fiber exterior parts and an Alcantara and carbon pack inside. McLaren has pulled the wraps off the 650S Spider back in 2014, during the Geneva Motor Show. This has replaced the old 12C Spider and it has the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, which has been upgraded. This is now good for 651 HP (478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. It can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3 seconds and top speed stands at 328 km/h (204 mph).
