The Czech based automaker Skoda has recently released a video where the five-door version of the Citigo, the VW Up! based urban vehicle, gets a first drive.
The five-door version of the Skoda Citigo has been announced not too long ago and right after the five-door version of the Volkswagen Up!, being followed soon by the five-door version of the Seat Mii, and after it made quite a buzz in the automotive world, the small model is getting ready to take on worldwide markets, along with its two brothers.
The Skoda Citigo with five doors is scheduled to make its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March and the model will be powered by a 1.0 liter three-cylinder engine, in two power levels, 60 or 75 horsepower. With the mother-brand Volkswagen promoting small vehicles, we might have more surprises from the three models and future hybrid or even electric versions are expected to hit the market.
The new five-door Skoda Citigo is expected to get an RS version, after Volkswagen has announced that the Up! GT will hit the market. The Skoda Citigo will be most likely powered by the same engine as its “German brother”. A “green” version, which will emit just 96 grams of CO2 per km and burn an average of 4.1 liters of fuel is also expected.
