The Czech based automaker Skoda has just announced that its smallest model yet, the Citigo, has arrived on the local auto market, setting its starting price at 7.220 EUR.
Skoda says that its VW Up! based Citigo is being offered in a choice of two engines, both of them with the 1.0 liter displacement, where one is developing 60 horsepower and the other 75, for the starting price of 179.900 CZK for the least powerful one, which is translated into 7.220 EUR.
“The Citigo is a central component of our growth strategy. With this automobile, we are starting our model offensive in Europe. It opens the important small car market for Skoda and perfectly applies our values in a city car: compact yet spacious, economical yet agile, attractive and equipped with many clever ideas. This car is ‘city clever’”, said the chairman of board within Skoda, Winfried Vahland.
According to the Czech based car manufacturer, the Citigo is being offered in three trim levels, with the entry-level being priced, as we said earlier at 7.220 EUR, while the higher level ambition packs electric windows, body colored mirrors and door handles and a 60::40 split rear bench. The top-of-the-line Elegance model comes with on-board navigation, heated seats and alloy wheels for a price of 8.430 EUR or 209.900 CZK.
