Skoda has released a new promotional video with the Rapid model in Europe, ahead of its launch this autumn.
After being spied a few times and with the model even leaking ahead of its official presentation, the Skoda Rapid has been finally revealed on the Old Continent last month, with the Czech based automaker announcing its debut this autumn. But now the model is once again entering our news, this time with the company releasing what should be the second official video, revealing the Skoda Rapid in a whole new light, aimed towards young families.
The Skoda Rapid is the final production version of the Skoda MissionL concept, which made its debut last year, during the Frankfurt Motor Show. The vehicle is 4,483 mm long, 1,706 mm wide and 1,461 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,602 mm. Skoda says that the Rapid will be slotted between the Fabia and the Octavia once it will hit the market in Europe and the model will get a variety of engines like the 1.6 liter TDI with 88 HP and 230 Nm of torque or 103 HP and 250 Nm of torque, the new 1.2 MPI with 74 HP and 112 Nm of torque, the 1.2 liter TSI turbocharged producing 84 HP and 160 Nm of torque or 103 HP and 175 Nm of torque and the 1.4 liter TSI turbocharged which is developing 121 HP and 200 Nm of torque.
