Smart has recently released a new commercial video, where the small and green ForTwo EV model is being promoted.
As you can see from the video posted below, the Smart ForTwo EV is being promoted in a unique way, with the car manufacturer choosing a “futuristic way” to describe its zero-emission vehicle. Smart is comparing its ForTwo Electric with some future possible inventions, like the zero-gravity board, the hyperdrive, the teleporter and the sunspeed superfast, but even if the automaker is pretty serious, along with its officials, a small joke has been “dropped” into the video: the “aero broom”, which according to Smart, is available ever since 1412, with a “wizard’s licence”.
As a reminder, the new Smart ForTwo Electric Vehicle has been officially presented to the public at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September. The modes is equipped with an electric motor which is able to generate a total output of 74 horsepower or 55 kW, pushing the vehicle to 100 km/h from a standstill in around 13 seconds, with a top speed of 120 km/h. The Smart ForTwo EV’s autonomy will be just over 140 kilometers, with a maximum charge time of 8 hours if the battery is completely empty, of just half an hour if a fast charging station is being used. Prices for the Smart ForTwo EV are starting at 16.000 EUR.
