The Japanese technology giant and the game developer have announced the scheduled release of the Gran Turismo Sport video game for November 15, the title being tasked to include a mix of road and race cars.
This newest installment of the Gran Turismo series will only be available on the Sony PlayStation 4 gaming platform, with the game being tipped as the “world’s first racing experience to be built from the ground up to bring global, online competitions sanctioned by the highest governing body of international motorsports, the FIA (Federation International Automobile).” Details are a little thin for now since we’re months away from the release, and the company only says gamers will be able to select from multiple racing classes including “GT3, Prototype, Rally, and more.” Also on the menu are enhanced graphics, unique race cars, and several new circuits such as the Northern Isle Speedway.
While catering mostly for motorsport aficionados, the new installment also has a plethora of street legal cars, including models such as the Mazda MX-5 Miata or the Ferrari LaFerrari, as well as everything in between. Pre-orders have just started and the early adopters will also get a three car package that has a Ford Mustang Group B rally car, a Toyota FT-1 Vision GT Group 3 race car, and the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1. There’s also a premium GT Sport Limited Edition package, priced at $69.99 and inclusive of access to cars within numerous race classes, a million dollars worth of in-game credits, and a limited edition packaging.
