Spidey is coming back to Marvel, so Audi is taking full advantage of its partnership relation with the studio – giving the beloved neighborhood friendly super hero a ride that certainly transcends his high-school status.
The all-new Audi A8 flagship limousine is coming officially out in less than two weeks but already Audi has decided to showcase it – with camouflage on – at the Spider-Man: Homecoming premiere in Los Angeles. Naturally, the body-hiding wrap has a fully body spider web disguise to complement the VIP sitting in the back: Spider-Man himself. The hero even positioned itself on top of the fullsize sedan’s hood and leaned to spread the web and of course take selfies with the audience.
The car, meanwhile, was joined by a raft of Audis – belonging to Tony Stark – aka Iron Man, who is also part of the movie. The A8 at the premiere doesn’t reveal any of the design but we do catch a glimpse of the biggest stylistic change – the interconnected taillights. The model comes with the new Audi Virtual Cockpit and a raft of semi-autonomous technologies activated by pressing the “Audi AI” button, including self-parking abilities even without the driver present inside. The new generation A8 is coming live on July 11 at the Audi Summit in Barcelona.
