The upcoming McLaren 675 LT has been recently caught on camera while it was being tested out on public roads.
The McLaren 675 LT will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, as the company has announced, so its development is no longer a surprise, but what comes as something new is that the company has recently taken it out for a quick spin, on public roads, near the McLaren factory, in Woking, England.
McLaren will be using the Long Tail body configuration for the final production version of the 675 LT, which is basically paying a tribute to the F1 GTR Long Tail, shown back in 1997. The model in question will be the opposite of the 625C, shown exclusively for the Asian continent in late 2014, and it is expected to get the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, which will be more powerful than the one of the upcoming Sports Series, of the current 650S and less powerful than the one of the P1 hypercar.
The turbocharged unit is believed to produce approximately 675 HP (497 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, making it 25 HP (18 kW) and 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) more powerful than the current 650S. More details on the newest supercar signed by McLaren are limited for the moment and will probably be announced next month, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, when the model will be officially presented to the public, in a premiere.
