The North American based automaker SRT has recently released the first video presentation with the new Viper GT3-R.
After it was officially unveiled just a few hours ago, the SRT Viper GT3-R is entering our news once again, this time with the carmaker releasing its first video. The footage posted below will enlighten you if you’re into the technical parts of the race car. The SRT Viper GT3-R has been jointly developed with Riley Technologies and the model has been described as a descendent of the GTS-R, produced by SRT Motorsports for the LM GTE Pro Class at the 24 Hours of the Le Mans.
Power to the SRT Viper GT3-R is being provided by an 8.4 liter V10 engine, which is producing an estimated 680 HP (507 kW) and it has a peak torque of 640 lb-ft (868 Nm). The unit is mated to an Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission, with multi-disc race clutch. The SRT Viper GT3-R has a carbon fiber / Kevlar / fiber glass body and an aerodynamic body kit. The racer is also getting a special suspension system, crew adjustable anti roll bars and some other tweaks. The interior of the vehicle has been fitted with a FIA roll cage, a racing seat with six-point harness and an on-board fire suppression system. The price for the racer has been set at 459,000 USD.
