The brand new SRT Viper has been recently taken to the Palm Beach International Raceway where it was tested by the guys at Drag Times.
The new generation of the SRT Viper is ending up in our news once again, this time with the help of a video which is showing the sports car on the drag strip, running for a quarter mile and using its launch control. The new SRT Viper has been tested by the crew at Drag Times and if you’re interested in the model, or you simply want to learn more about it, than you should probably scroll down and click play.
During the test, the SRT Viper has done a quarter mile in 11.1 seconds at 205 km/h (127.4 mph) with the launch control, and the model managed to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.1 seconds, and from 0 to 100 mph (160 km/h) in 7.1 seconds. As a quick reminder, the brand new SRT Viper is coming with an 8.4 liter V10 engine, which is good for 640 HP (477 kW) and 814 Nm of torque (600 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Power is being sent to the rear-wheel drive. The 0 to 100 km/h is done in approximately 3 seconds and top speed stands at 331 km/h (206 mph).
