The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is powered by a 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 460 HP (343 kW) at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 630 Nm (465 lb-ft), available from 4,600 rpm. The unit is mated to a seven-speed manual transmission. The new SRT Viper, on the other hand, is getting a larger engine under its hood, an 8.4 liter V10, which is generating a total output of 640 HP, with a peak torque of 600 lb-ft. This may seem like an unfair fight, but is it?
