Steve Sutcliffe from AutoExpress was present at the launch event of the new McLaren 570S and he didn’t miss out on the opportunity to release his own review of the sports car.
The new McLaren 570S is probably the most interesting vehicle of the moment to wear the British based brand’s logos on its body and this is because it’s McLaren’s first sports car. The model has started the Sports Series range, earlier this year, when it was introduced, and it was followed by the less powerful 540C. But is this really what you are looking for if you are a petrol head? Well, we won’t be spoilers and tell you anything about it but you definitely need to check out what Sutcliffe has to say about it.
The McLaren 570S is taking aim at the Audi R8 V10 Plus or the Porsche 911 Turbo S, amongst others. This is bringing the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood as the rest of the McLaren lineup but the engine is producing 570 HP (419 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the sports car needs just 3.2 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 328 km/h (204 mph). The 570S has a starting price of 184,900 USD over-seas, which is making it 80,000 USD cheaper than its larger brother, the 650S.
