Hennessey has taken a brand new stock version of the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to a drag strip, where the sports car managed to do a quarter mile in just 12.23 seconds.
The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is enjoying a huge success in the United States and the waiting list for the sports car is now 6 months, but when your dream car is so close to getting to you, those six months will often feel like years. The new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray is a very fast vehicle, as Hennessey has recently found out, when taken it to the tuner’s primary testing drag strip.
Even if you’ve seen the word “Hennessey”, rest assure, the Corvette in the video posted below is stock and it’s able to do a quarter mile in just 12.23 seconds. This is an impressive time for a standard vehicle and I wonder what the new time will be once Hennessey starts doing its magic on it. The Corvette Stingray is coming with a 450 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque 6.2 liter V8 engine, which is allowing the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds. The new Corvette generation has been introduced back in early 2013.
