Even if the next generation Chevrolet Cruze has been spotted in Germany all covered in camouflage, its dynamic look can easily be noticed.
The new Chevy Cruze has been officially revealed in a photo gallery back in summer and it looks more appealing than before. Even if the spied video shows a well camouflaged car, it is the first time when the 2017 Cruze allure can be checked out so close, thanks to a nimble YouTube user who spotted the car testing in Germany. Larger and lighter than the previous model, the all-new compact Chevrolet is set on sale in the US in the spring of 2016. It has a starting price of 17,495 dollars, while offering features such as the standard Chevrolet MyLink radio with a 7-inch-diagonal screen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Depending on the model, a range of active safety features are available, including Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Alert.
As far as the engine lineup goes, the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze is getting a brand new 1.4 liter turbo four-cylinder unit under its hood, which is capable of putting down a total of 153 HP (113 kW) at 5,600 rpm and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft), available between 2,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm. In standard, it is connected to the 6-speed manual transmission but it can get an optional six-speed automatic too. In 2017, Chevrolet will introduce a new diesel model based on the current Cruze diesel range.
