Opinions may be split on the Batman v Superman movie currently in theathers, but we’re always up for show when somebody decides to bring the Dark Knight’s Batmobile into the real world.
It’s flashy, it’s dark and has no Snyder signature on it because it’s based on the Arkham Knight video games. We have here another example of how awesome Team Galag is – if you’re a regular fan of the Gumball 3000 you’ll know what we mean. If not, you need to do your Internet homework before reading on. It’s a little surprising though even for us they managed to come up with another Batmobile ready for this year’s edition of the infamous Gumball 3000 rally – the last one was another treat in the Tumbler story (we’re still Nolan fans, even with that ugly growl). Now, they decided to make the day of those watching from the side at the start line in Dublin. That’s because showing up with the crime-fighting vehicle from the Batman: Arkham Knight video game really is a fanboy surprise.
If you don’t look closely you may thing this is the same model from the Dawn of Justice movie, but the revealing difference is the lack of front mounted machineguns. The ride was made in record time by a Swedish aftermarket specialist named Caresto. And they started the work using a Lamborghini Gallardo 5.2-liter V10 engine with 560 horsepower. The body is made out of tubular steel – and if you don’t think Caresto has the right credentials you may want to find out its founder is Leif Tufvesson, who previously worked for Koenigsegg’s design department. “The design is based on the car from the Arkham knight game but has been redesigned and manufactured with drivability and full functionality in mind. The special high rigid tubular frame is manufactured to provide good handling and give a solid feeling.” It has 26 inch wheels and cameras instead of rear mirrors, so the cool factor is off the charts as well.
