Chevrolet has released the first teaser video of the brand new Camaro Convertible, which is just a day from its official unveil.
With the new generation of the Chevrolet Camaro being recently introduced, in the coupe form, the carmaker is now focusing on the development of the Camaro Convertible, which is just around the corner. According to the North American based automaker, the new drop-top variant of the popular muscle car will be officially unveiled tomorrow, on the 24th of June, 2015, and in order to highlight it for the first time, the company has released a teaser video with it.
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible will be making use of the same architecture and it will get the same design as the already unveiled Camaro Coupe. The only difference will be in its roof, which has been chopped, so expect several kg added to its total weight. The engine lineup will be identical too and it will include the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit, producing 275 HP (205 kW) & 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in approximately 6 seconds, along with the mid-range 3.6 liter V6, which will be connected to either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission, capable of sending 335 HP (250 kW) and 385 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels. The top of the line Camaro SS Convertible will have the 6.2L V12 engine, producing 455 HP (339 kW) & 617 Nm (455 lb-ft).
