The exhaust note of the new generation Chevrolet Camaro has been recently teased out by the North American based automaker as the model will be introduced in mid-May.
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is getting closer and closer to the assembly line and the model in question is now returning in yet another official video which is teasing its exhaust note, this time. The muscle car sounds basically like it is in its range topping V8 powered version and this may be the new Camaro SS, the Camaro ZL1 or even the Camaro Z/28. Even so, we have to admit that the unit sounds just perfect and, who knows, we may be looking into the direct rival for the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
The new generation of the Chevrolet Camaro will be ditching the current Zeta platform and it will us the Alpha architecture. The model in question should lose some significant weight thanks to this and it will be reflected into its performance and fuel consumption. Speaking about the performance, rumor has it that for the first time ever, the new Camaro will be making use of a four-cylinder turbo 2.0 liter engine, used on the ATS and CTS, for the entry-level version, to rival the Mustang 2.3 liter EcoBoost. The 3.6 liter V6 will be offered too, along with the range topping 6.2 liter V8. The new Camaro will be unveiled on the 16th of May and more details on it will probably be announced on that date.
