Ford has released yet another teaser with the brand new Focus RS, the highly anticipated range topping model, which will be officially unveiled on the 3rd of February.
The 2016 Ford Focus RS is just around the corner and the severe testing of the hot hatch taking place last year has paid off because the model in question will be officially unveiled on the 3rd of February. The brand new Focus RS is now being teased in a new video which is showing some test mules of the car being driven fast, on several tracks, but it isn’t revealing that much, so if you came here hoping to catch a glimpse of it, you will probably be disappointed.
The brand new Ford Focus RS is going to stand out from its regular versions thanks to the more aggressive body kit and we expect some modified front and rear bumpers, a slightly revised hood, different front fenders, a rear spoiler, a rear diffuser and some other tweaks. Under its hood, rumor has it that the 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder unit might be found. This is the same engine which is currently used on the new Mustang generation and it should be producing between 325 HP (242 kW) and 350 Nm (261 kW) on the hot hatch. The unit should be connected to a 6-speed manual transmission and, for the very first time, power might be sent to the all-wheel drive system, instead of the FWD. More details on the new hot hatch are limited at this time.
