Mercedes-Benz has decided to pull a tour de force – meaning a live, 12-hour commercial – which is tasked to present in an oddly compelling way the newest plug in hybrid sedan, the E350e.

The catchphrase might spill the beans – “Now has arrived”, but the Mercedes-Benz Now Experience arguably “demonstrates that electric mobility bearing the three-pointed star is already a reality.” The automaker says this is a world first, with the commercial constantly changing over the 12 hours of airing. It has a combination of live music, spoken word, and dance performances, as well as data visualization, and live cameras focusing on the details of the E350e. The commercial was streamed via a dedicated website and Youtube.

Meanwhile, the object of interest – the E350e – has a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine hooked to an electric motor and total combined output sits at 286 horsepower (213 kilowatts) and 406 pound-feet (550 Newton meters) of torque. This will enable a good show of performance – 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) are achieved in 6.2 seconds and maximum speed is of 153 mph (245 km/h). In the official European cycle, the plug-in hybrid E350e is said to deliver a combined fuel consumption of 134 miles per gallon (2.1 liters per 100 km), with carbon dioxide emissions of 49 grams per kilometer – with an all-electric range of 20 miles (32 km).
