Porsche has released a new video with the 918 Spyder, which is highlighting the model at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The brand new Porsche 918 Spyder has received its first official footage during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The supercar has been unveiled on the September 10, at the German automotive event, and it has recently become the fastest production car to lap the Nurburgring, in just 6 minutes and 57 seconds. The Porsche 918 Spyder is 4,643 mm long, 1,940 mm wide and 1,167 mm tall, riding on a 2,730 mm long wheelbase and weighing 1,634 kg.
Power to the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1 fighter is being provided by a hybrid powertrain, which is made from a 4.6 liter V8 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, producing 608 HP (447 kW), and two electric motors, generating 286 HP (210 kW). The total output developed stands at 887 HP (652 kW) and the peak torque is varying, depending on the gear ratio, from 917 Nm (676 lb-ft) to 1,289 Nm (944 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the AWD through a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The 918 Spyder can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 345 km/h (214 mph).
