One of the best known car aficionados in the world – Jay Leno – has decided to join the crew of the Fox television animated series The Simpsons for a recent episode appearance – where he was joined by cars, of course.
Jay Leno has apparently left his garage – where neat things happen every episode of the series airing on YouTube – for a while to enter the world of animated series. His character, in a rather odd statement of love for European flavored models, a 1973 Citroen DS Pallas, and then notices a Morgan 3 Wheeler parked in Homer Simpson’s driveway. Without spoiling any of the action in the episode, which recently aired, we can tell you that having a Morgan 3 Wheeler in the driveway at 742 Evergreen Terrace is of course a fishy Homer Simpson shenanigan.
Leno endorsed the appearance in this promo video you can see below and said he was pleased with the voice-over work for the episode, though he needed to pitch in for the writing staff as well, which benefited from his experience as an automobile enthusiast when revisions had to be made to the original script which had inaccuracies and some oddball writing. By the way, this is not the first time Leno has appeared on the hit show, though it’s the first time it capitalizes on his newly rekindled love interest for cars.
