We all know the Mondays are particularly slow at work – especially if you live in a part of the world that’s nearing the winter season – but we can cheer you up a bit with some Mercedes-AMG prowess.
We can understand why there are only six AMG models in the video – some weren’t technically available (like the Mercedes-AMG E 63S) at the time of shooting. And these are representatives of all the different hand-built engines that are offered by the high performance division of Daimler. The A45 for example has subtly but clearly redefined the hot hatch idea… twice (first when introduced, then with the facelift). Not the winner of course, but a model that has built in every-day usability. We actually think the slouch of the pack is the SLK 43 AMG, which has that new twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that’s not lovingly handbuilt.
The video also has the C63 and the AMG GT S which use the four-liter V8 and of course it’s not a surprise that a dedicated speed demon with a transaxle gearbox got the win. Anyways, we also see the most expensive of the bunch – the S 65 AMG Coupe which has the largest engine 6.0-liter V12. This one gets left in the dust by the GLA 45 AMG thanks to the latter’s 4Matic system. And yeah, there’s also a soccer mom luxo barge – the GLE 63.
