While I never personally enjoyed so much the Final Fantasy series apart from the old but revolutionary at the time of release 2001 Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, there’s an undeniable cultural phenomenon behind the globally-admired series.
If you’re a huge fan of this media juggernaut, you may have heard there’s a new installment – Final Fantasy XV – titled Kingsglaive. And because Audi loves product placement – just remember Tony Stark / Iron Man’s civilian supercars – they decided to build for the Japanese division this bespoke R8. Audi has some notorious royalty patrons – King Harald of Norway and Princess Diana – but it can now also count on the blessing of Prince Noctis of the Kingdom of Lucis. This is because the brand has partnered with the Royal Art Society of Lucis to develop the one-off Star of Lucis R8 as a 20th birthday present to the Prince. It has what it takes – deep, dark shade of Ultrossic Black, spiced with just the right amount of purple.
The Tenebrae oracle clan’s traditional patterns adorn the carbon fiber elements – such as front intake strakes, side blades, and rear wing; while the customized wheels display the symbol of the Kingdom. The interior gets white and black leather upholstery with orange stitching – as well as Audi’s Virtual Cockpit instrument display and a Bang + Olufsen audio system. You can see a promo for the car and then a promo for the FF XV down the page. The R8 Star of Lucis can be bought through a raffle on November 21, and then there’s also the $470,000 asking price.
