The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently released the PIVO 3 Concept at the 42nd edition of the Tokyo Motor Show, along with a video where its newest small vehicle is being presented.
The Nissan PIVO 3 Concept is coming with some interesting technology like the Automated Valet Parking (AVP), a system that can park the vehicle automatically in some specially-equipped parking lots and the manufacturer says that the car can also recharge itself while it waits for its driver to return. Another interesting feature for the Nissan PIVO 3 is that the concept can be called with a smartphone and it returns to pick up the drive, but we must wait in order to do this at least a few more years.
“PIVO is one of the answers for active urbanists living in mature markets. Through the three PIVO proposals, we have gained a deep understanding of their needs in such large, metropolitan areas. Each of the eight concepts that we have created address different needs, different communities, different lifestyles for different markets. That makes zero emission mobility an ambitious statement for the company… At Nissan, we believe that the world is changing and mobility has a role to play to make it better”, said the Deputy Division General Manager of Product Strategy and Product Planning Division, Francois Bancon.
Nissan says that its PIVO 3 Concept has three seats, in a 1+2 layout, and it’s measuring just under 3.000 mm in length, running on electricity and featuring by-wire controls for a more spacious cabin and less mechanics. The technology inside it includes a Robotic Agent, which is basically a computerized personal assistant for the driver. The interior is finished in leather and silver-hued trim with EV Blue and Snow White color schemes.
