We already showed you the mighty Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde burning rubber on the Nurburgring where it’s testing its 510-hp might in the desire to become the true BMW M3 killer.
But having the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde out testing on the famed German track means anyone can see it if they pay the entry toll to spin around in their own ride. And that’s exactly what happened in this recent video, where a guy (with pretty good piloting skills, in our opinion) managed to play cat and mouse with the M3/M4 and C63 AMG competitor. With the recent improvements that have been put in front wheel drive cars, in models such as the Megane RS 275 Trophy and the Seat Leon ST Cupra 280, the pair has been able to post what were recently impossible times on the benchmark racing track of the world, the aforementioned Nurburgring. This particular case involves the latter Leon ST Cupra 280 in a battle for the ages between the new front-wheel drive challengers seeking to dethrone the rear-wheel drive high-powered traditional monsters.
The video from the Bridge to Gantry shows them stumbling upon the prototype of the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV on the Nurburgring while out for a run of their own and they don’t miss the chance to get the Giulia give them a run for the money. The first part is rather bleak, with the test pilot even letting them pass in front, but the second bit of the twisty gives the BTG crew what they wanted – a showdown with the Ferrari-derived twin-turbo V6 under the hood making use of its 510 horsepower. It’s also interesting to listen to the driver’s input, which shows he knows his way around the test track.
