The Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster: Unveiled for the first time on May 5, 2011, the SLS AMG Roadster retains the same specifications, dimensions and drivetrain as the Coupe but is a more traditional convertible with a power folding fabric top and conventional doors.
Its lightweight aluminum construction, seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission and AMG 6.3 liter 571-horsepower V8 engine all makes for the same 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds.
The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series made its world debut at the Formula 1 German Grand Prix on the Nürburgring.
Like its predecessor — the much-loved CLK63 AMG Black Series — this new guy is a hopped-up, raced-out version of a “lesser” AMG product.
Let’s start with the engine, AMG’s famed 6.2-litre V8. In regular C63 guise it boasts 451bhp and 443bhp, but in Black Series form it gains the SLS supercar’s forged pistons, conrods and lightweight crankshaft, and a new ECU, to push its outputs up to 510bhp and 457lb ft.
