[Video] Toyo Tires proposes Havana, Cuba to BJ Baldwin’s trophy truck image

The relationships between the United States and Cuba are getting increasingly warm – so BJ Baldwin and the Toyo Tires crew jumped at the idea of an adventure there.

This new nine-minute feature has enough tire smoke and jumps to even make Ken Block envious, and comes into play because somehow Baldwin needs to get out of a dominos game to attend a huge party. And the best way to move around is his 850-horsepower (634 kilowatts) race truck – though it might have a case here since there was a 191-foot (58-meter) jump involved, besides narrow streets, fields and other obstacles, and even an old bunker tunnel. And yes, this video is just another marketing play for Toyo Tires and their partner Monster Energy, plus all of Baldwin’s various other racing sponsors.

We do love a great motorsport adventure – we see all the natural vistas of Cuba, all the while trampled upon with the sound of the roaring engine. Baldwin is of course no stranger to stunt videos – this is after all Recoil 4 – Recoil one, two and three were also spectacular. And he’s also been a fixture at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. And yes, we may remember the numerous hints and details about the time well spent in Cuba by the cast and crew of the latest installment in the Fast and Furious franchise.
