After being teased for quite a few months and ending up leaking before its official 2011 Tokyo Motor Show debut, the Japanese based automaker Toyota has decided to release a promotional video of its new FT-86, where the sports car is reviving the passion beyond motoring.
The promotional video launched by Toyota is showing some kids playing with some 2000GT and Celica toys which will help them as engineers and inspired designers, putting a huge accent on loving the company and its models.
The design of the FT-86 concept based coupe is no longer a surprise for anyone and the vehicle developed in a partnership with Subaru will keep the sports lines of the concept which will me more highlighted and aggressive.
Rumors say that the new Toyota FT-86 will be powered by a naturally aspirated Boxer engine which will be developing about 200 horsepower all of them sent to the rear wheels most likely through a manual transmission, with an automatic probably being offered as an option.
An upgraded turbo version of the same Boxer engine is expected to come to the new Japanese sports car with its 300 horsepower.
The new Toyota FT-86 will be officially presented during the Tokyo Motor Show in December and the sports car will be officially launched in the United States in the first quarter of 2012 as the Scion FR-S. Meanwhile you can watch the promotional video of the sports car below. Enjoy!
