The very first images with a heavily modified Toyota GT 86, named the Super Sport, have made their way onto the web, and the racer might compete in the 2013 Pikes Peak.
The Toyota GT 86 is one of the most interesting cars to make its way onto the market these past few years but it seems that the sports car is a good basis for a race version. Such a variant is expected to compete in the 2013 Pikes Peak, and the first images with it have ended up on the web. According to the guys at autoforum.cz, the model will get a 3-liter V6 petrol engine under its hood, which should produce 670 HP.
Additional details on the impressive Toyota GT 86 Super Sport are limited for the moment and they will probably be announced close to the competitions’ debut. Meanwhile you can check out the small photo gallery with the monster Toyota GT 86 race car below.
