Toyota has released the first promotional video with the i-Road Concept, which is showing an animation of the model being driven in an urban environment.
The newest creation signed by Toyota is named the i-Road Concept and it was already presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question is rumored to enter production and it might target the Renault Twizy. The Japanese based automaker says that the Toyota i-Road Concept si a weather proof vehicle which can transport two people in tandem and it was designed for urban use, being a zero-emission vehicle.
The Toyota i-Road Concept has a curb weight of 300 kg (661 lbs) and it’s 2, 350 mm long, 1,445 mm tall and it’s riding on a 1,700 mm wheelbase. The Toyota i-Road Concept is powered by two electric motors, each of them fitted on a front wheel, connected to a lithium-ion battery. The model in question can reach a top speed of up to 45 km/h (28 mph) and it has a total range of 48 km (30 miles). Additional details on the Toyota i-Road Concept are limited for the moment.
