[Video] Vaughn Gittin Jr and his dog enjoy a “casual” groceries ride in the 2015 Ford Fiesta ST
There’s no easy pick when it comes to pitching the latest crazy video idea to marketing gurus at the global automakers, but Vaughn Gittin Jr and his dog seem to have hit the sweet spot in this one.
Gittin Jr.’s rather abusive style of affection – we’re not sure if to trust the mid-video credits that stated “no dogs were harmed” – has targeted this time around the US automaker’s latest hot hatch, the Fiesta ST. Yes, usually Vaughn – because he’s sponsored by Ford – focuses on blowing the tires of bigger models like the Mustang, but this time around he directed his “love” towards the more mundane Fiesta.
We’re not going to spoil for you the excitement of watching what happens when Gittin Jr. embarks in a groceries expedition with his dog best friend, Brody, though as usual, the video involves some type of heavy hoonage – and while the stunt pets looked unharmed, the same can’t be said about the Fiesta ST.
In case you were wondering, here’s a little reminder on the model. In the US the model starts at a little over $22,000 and for that you get a five-door hot hatch that has under the hood a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine delivering 197 hp (147 kW) and 214 lb-ft (290 Nm) of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
