The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently released a new promotional video with the 2013 Beetle Convertible, showing the model in a new light.
After it was officially presented to the public during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show a few months ago, the new Volkswagen Beetle Convertible is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing a new commercial video with the model. The drop-top version of the new Beetle has strengthened A pillars, two pop-up roll bars added behind the seats and some other small tweaks which can’t be found on the standard variant.
Across the United States, the 2013 VW Beetle Convertible will be available with a 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine, generating a total output of 170 HP and 177 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Diesel lovers will be able to order the 2.0 liter TDI four-cylinder, with its 140 HP and 236 lb-ft. If this isn’t enough for you, VW is also offering a 2.0 liter turbocharged TSI four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 200 HP and 207 lb-ft of torque. This last unit can be mated to a six-speed manual or a DSG automatic transmission.
