The new generation of the Volkswagen Golf GTI has been recently crash tested by the IIHS and the model in question has received the Top Safety Pick Plus.

Power is being provided by a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged engine, rated at 210 HP (156 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The model can also get the Performance Package, adding the beefier brakes and the limited slip differential, along with 10 HP (7 kW) more. Prices for the hot hatch start at 24,395 USD.
