The new generation of the Volkswagen Golf GTI has been recently crash tested by the IIHS and the model in question has received the Top Safety Pick Plus.

If you were looking into the 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI but were concerned in the vehicle’s safety than you could go ahead and place a deposit for it as it has been recently crash tested by the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety). The model in question managed to achieve the Top Safety Pick Plus title, receiving a “good” rating in the moderate overlap front, side and roof strength. The model scored well in other tests.

The new Volkswagen Golf GTI is available with six airbags, with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), with optional Driver Assistance Package including the front and rear Park Distance Control, Forward Collision Warning and so on. Power is being provided by a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged engine, rated at 210 HP (156 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The model can also get the Performance Package, adding the beefier brakes and the limited slip differential, along with 10 HP (7 kW) more. Prices for the hot hatch start at 24,395 USD.
