[VIDEO] Volkswagen Golf R Concept seen revving its engine
The recently unveiled Volkswagen Golf R Concept is the subject to an amateur video which is showing it revving its engine and loading onto a truck.
Originally unveiled just a couple of months ago and with no official plans of hitting the production line, the Volkswagen Golf R Concept is entering our news once again, this time with the help of an amateur video. The model in question has been caught on camera in Vienna, Austria, and it can be seen revving its engine which makes the current Golf 7 R look like a simple toy besides it.
The Volkswagen Golf R Concept is coming with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood, which has been updated and it’s now producing a total output of 400 HP (294 kW) and a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The 1,420 kg weighing hot hatch is sending power to the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. Thanks to the extra 100 HP (73 kW) and 70 Nm (51 lb-ft) of torque, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in supercar time of 3.9 seconds. Its top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
At least 10 million vehicles were recalled by Toyota back in 2009 and 2010 for the “unintended acceleration” issue and so far GM has made 67 separate recall actions with almost 30 million vehicles due back in service.
