Volvo Trucks has recently launched its new FMX model in Australia, proving once again that supremacy in the segment is hard to earn and even harder to maintain.
According to the manufacturer, the new Volvo FMX is a truck designed for all kind of terrains and it’s not afraid to leave the road when it has to. Volvo says that the company’s customers in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia have played a big role in engineering the new FMX truck, and the manufacturer has big expectations from the vehicle.
“Our customers in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia have played a big role in the local engineering and specification of the FMX. With all the improvements in the Volvo FMX, a full range of chassis configurations to choose from and our strong service support package, we are convinced that our existing customers will become even more satisfied. We also have high expectations that new truck and our unique total offer will attract many new customers”, said the Volvo Trucks general manager, Gary Bone.
The manufacturer says that the FMX has been based on Volvo’s FM platform and the new truck can be ordered with a choice of two engines, the 11 liter which is developing 330 or 450 horsepower, and the 13 liter which is generating 450 and 500 horsepower.
