In a recent video released by Volvo, the Swedish brand opened the doors of its premium sedan, for us to take a closer look at S90’s exquisite interior.
If you do not have enough patience to wait until the brand new S90 makes its public debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, Volvo invites us to virtually admire up close the interior of its flagship. The recent spot released by the automaker emphasizes the details of the cabin, a design which is very familiar to XC90 SUV owners – notably through the Sensus Connect touchscreen and button-free arrangement on the center stack.
The new S90 comes packed with a wide range of technologies, including an advanced semi-autonomous drive feature, Pilot Assist – a system which gives gentle steering inputs to keep the car properly aligned within lane markings up to motorway speeds of around 130 km/h. The executive model also introduces a world first function to City Safety – large animal detection – a system very useful in the Scandinavian region, capable of detecting elk, horses or moose, night or day. The technology offers an intuitive warning and brake support to help avoid a collision.
In North America, only the petrol 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged T6, turbocharged T5 and T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid borrowed from the XC90 will be on offer. European clients will also have an assortment of diesel engines, including the D4 and D5.
