The Swedish automaker and its recently acquired performance division Polestar have revealed their plans to introduce a wide array of performance parts for the V40, V60, S60, and XC60 models.
The customization options act as a way to bump up performance and handling, with the new Polestar Performance Parts lineup including interior and exterior styling modifications, chassis components, and sports exhaust systems. Both companies have actually been pretty mysterious about the specifics but we can have a rather complete picture just by sifting through the associated images – we could see sport springs, black mirror caps, rear spoilers, and custom alloy wheels. Inside the cabin the buyers could look forward to fitting new alloy pedals, special sill plates, and a Polestar-branded shifter. “Lessons learned on the tracks are transferred directly into the development of our road cars and performance products. The new range of Polestar Performance Parts is no exception – they are designed and developed with the very same philosophy,” commented Polestar Research and Development Director Henrik Fries.
Polestar boasts about its development knowledge gained after 20 years of motorsports and apparently the components have been tested and developed jointly with the Swedish automaker so all these accessories will have no impact on the manufacturer’s warranty. The roster of Polestar Performance Parts will reach dealerships starting April and pricing and other details will be released closer to the actual introduction.
