Volkswagen has recently released a new promotional video for the impressive Beetle GRC, in which the model is shown in action and some of its features are being explained.
In case you have been missing out on the impressive Volkswagen Beetle GRC, the German based automaker has decided to release a new promotional video with the model, in which it can be seen in action. The clip posted below is also highlighting some of the features of the racing car and you can also see part of its manufacturing process. Volkswagen says that the racer can be seen in action this weekend, at an even at the Port of Los Angeles.
The Volkswagen Beetle GRC (Global Rallycross) will take start with Tanner Foust behind the wheel of the #34 Rockstar Energy Drink Volkswagen and with Scott Speed in the #77 7UP Volkswagen. The track only car is coming with a modified body, a large rear wing, side scoops, aerodynamic side mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels with Yokohama tires, different suspension system, larger brakes and so on. Power is coming from a 1.6 liter TSI four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine. This is delivering an impressive 544 HP (405 kW), sent to the AWD through a 6-speed sequential transmission. The 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint takes 2.1 seconds.
