A video showing a 12-year old boy racing his McLaren 650S is becoming viral over the web.
When I was 12 years old the only driving I did was with an old car, on a field, with my dad on the passenger seat, so hearing about this boy, who already has a McLaren 650S, I felt obligated to share it with you. Meet Steven, the son of a famous competitor who is a regular at Shift-S3ctor Airstrip Attack events. His dad is driving a Ford GT, known as the Black Mamba, and his son is bringing a McLaren 650S as his proper weapon of choice.
Keep in mind that we are talking about a 12-year old kid who is getting behind the wheel of an extremely powerful rear-wheel drive supercar. The price of it stands at just above the 250,000 USD mark but Steven is estimating that his own one might be worth up to 300,000 USD, so he doesn’t really know exactly how much his dad has paid for it. Even so, this is still bringing the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is capable of putting down a massive 641 HP (478 kW) and 680 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. This is sent to the rear-wheel drive through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which is allowing the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3 seconds. Top speed stands at 333 km/h (207 mph).
