The new generation of the BMW X5 has been spotted while being tested on the open road in the United States once again.
The brand new BMW X5 generation is wearing the 2015 model year in its name, meaning that it will go on sale in 2014, and the SUV has been codenamed the F15. The BMW X5 F15 is being tested quite a lot these days and the German based automaker is trying to make sure that everything is in its place before showing its final production version and launching it across the globe. The footage posted below is showing the new X5 on the road in Los Angeles, on the Santa Monica Blvd.
The 2015 BMW X5 F15 is coming with the company’s latest design language and the model has grown in size. The new X5 will get the latest generation of the xDrive all-wheel drive system and some new engine options which will include the 2.0 liter turbo diesel used on the F30 3-Series, along with some other petrol and diesel units. The next BMW X5M is rumored to get a twin-turbocharged V8 gasoline engine. The new BMW X5 will rider on the X for All architecture, which will be used throughout the entire BMW X range, helping the model loose 150 kg in weight. Additional details on the 2015 BMW X5 F15 remain unknown for the moment.
